On Friday, my cousin Laura sent me a text asking if I had read this book. She had just picked it up that day and thought I would enjoy it. I am always looking for a good book so I stopped by and picked it up later that evening.
Instead of working on our taxes, I started reading it and I simply could not put the book down until I was finished! It is a story of a boy just shy of 4 years old who experiences Heaven. It is a great book for anyone who has lost a child or if you have simply questioned if Heaven is real.
The book talked to me in so many ways, but most importantly, to have child like faith. To be real with God even when you doubt Him or when you don't agree with Him. He is always listening and He does answer our prayers and 4 year old Colton is proof of that!
The Burpo family had a miscarriage prior to Colton being born, they never knew the sex of the baby. When Colton goes to Heaven, he meets his sister and shares the experience with his parents. I often think about the two babies I lost before I knew their sex so we never named them. I now know that those babies have wings and are waiting for Chris and I to come home and name them. I can't wait to be with our three angels someday.
