Weeks 4 - 6

Week 4: you are the size of a Poppyseed

Highlights: On October 19th we found out God has blessed us with another baby. We can’t wait to meet you in June 2012! I am so excited to begin this journey with you, your daddy and our heavenly Father. I suspected that I might be pregnant so I went to Target to purchase a kit with one basic test and one digital test. I took the basic test and the lines were dark almost immediately. I waited to take the digital test until the next morning which indicated +YES!!! I told your daddy right away after the first test. We are praying for a happy, healthy and full term pregnancy!

Symptoms:  Tender chest

You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said.
Luke 1:45

Week 5: you are the size of an Appleseed (.13 inches)

Highlights: Bought a new car so mommy has something safe to drive you around in!

Symptoms: I started spotting (dark brown) and passed a few small clots and had a scary experience where I thought, I might have lost you. Some mood swings, nausea, tender chest and very, very tired!

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28

Week 6: you are the size of a Sweat Pea (.25 inches)

Appointment on 10.31.11: I had my first appointment with Dr. L at 6 weeks 1 day to discuss my scare from last week. He recommended an ultrasound to look and see how you were progressing. During the ultrasound we saw a sac and a embryo measuring pretty small to see anything. Dr. L. wanted to perform a series of blood draws and to come back next week for another ultrasound. I opted not to do the blood work but to wait for the ultrasound. Next appointment scheduled for 11-11-11. I can’t wait to see how much you’ve grown and to see and hear your heart beating!

Highlights: Getting to take naps and reading a couple of pregnancy books.

Symptoms: Spotting, lots of nausea, larger and very tender chest and still very tired – naps are a good thing!

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
